About WonderBetter Predict & Win — How cricket prediction works
What Predict & Win is
Predict & Win is WonderBetter's flagship skill-based cricket-prediction contest. For each live cricket match, players submit their forecast for how a specific batter will score or how a specific bowler will perform. The forecast closest to the actual outcome wins. This is a knowledge game — your accuracy depends on how well you read form, match conditions, venue history, and the matchup between individual players. It is not a game of chance and it is not fantasy cricket — you are making a single, focused prediction, not picking an entire team.
How scoring works
Every contest has a target metric — typically runs scored by a named batter or wickets taken by a named bowler. After the match, we compute the absolute difference between your prediction and the actual result. Smaller differences rank higher. Ties are broken by earliest submission, which rewards players who lock in a confident prediction early rather than waiting to see how others have predicted. The full leaderboard is published after match results are confirmed.
Entries, Woins, and the growing-fee structure
Every entry costs Woins, our in-app reward currency that can only be earned through skill, never purchased. Predict & Win uses a growing entry-fee curve — your first entry costs the base amount, and each additional entry on the same match scales upward. This is deliberate: it rewards players who commit to a well-reasoned prediction instead of spraying many entries to brute-force the leaderboard. A disciplined player with three sharp predictions typically outperforms a player who makes twenty casual guesses.
AI Pick and how to use it
AI Pick is an optional tool that generates a statistically informed prediction based on recent player form, venue tendencies, and head-to-head history. It is a starting point, not an oracle — top players use it as a reference point and then adjust based on context the model cannot see, like team news, pitch reports released just before toss, or a player's recent net sessions. Relying on AI Pick blindly without adjusting will not take you to the top of the leaderboard, because every user has access to the same tool.
Prize tiers
Each contest publishes a tiered prize structure before entries open. The total prize pool is distributed across the top-ranked positions — winner, runners-up, and a broad top tier so that sharp mid-table predictions are also rewarded. Approximately 99% of collected entry Woins flow back to the player
